SATURDAY, JAN. 24:
WINTER BIRD WALK PRESQU’ILE: Join a park naturalist for a winter bird walk to explore the campgrounds and search for birds spending the winter in the park. Meet at the camp office parking lot at 10 a.m. (Double check before heading out for possible weather cancellations due to the extreme cold.)
KIDS’ CRAFT KITS: New craft kits are unveiled every Saturday at the main desk at the Brighton Public Library. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
EARLYON AT THE LIBRARY: Join Sam from EarlyON for a fun morning of open-ended play at the library. No registration is needed. Runs 10:30 a.m. to noon.
ROBBIE BURNS DINNER AND DANCE: The Brighton Legion’s Ways and Means teams hosts its annual Robbie Burns dinner and dance with doors opening at 5 p.m. (This is a ticketed event.) The pipe band offers a pre-dinner show, and afterwards, Celtic dancers perform before the DJ handles entertainment for the evening.
POLAR PLUNGE RESCHEDULED: The Polar Plunge fundraiser in support of Campbellford Memorial Hospital has been rescheduled due to the extreme cold until next Saturday, Jan. 31 at Lion’s Club Park at noon.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25:
NORTHUMBERLAND FILM SUNDAYS POSTPONED: The Nouvelle Vague series set for 3:30 p.m. at Rainbow Cinemas has been rescheduled to Feb. 1 due to the weather.

The Trenton Golden Hawks take on the Haliburton County Huskies at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena at 4 p.m.
The Belleville Senators take on the Springfield Thunderbirds at the Mass Mutual Centre at 5:06 p.m. EST.
The Trent Hills Thunder take on the Port Hope Panthers at the Jack Burger Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
The Frankford Huskies take on Lakefield at home at 7 p.m.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25:
The Frankford Huskies face off against the Amherstview Jets at the Henderson Recreation Centre at 7:30 p.m.
