For residents looking for refuge from the extreme cold this weekend, the King Edward Park Arena lobby is available, says the Municipality of Brighton.
The area will be open as a warming centre Saturday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Jan. 25 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
In the City of Quinte West, the warming centre is open in Trenton at 85 Dundas St. E. from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Additionally, the city says the libraries in Trenton and Frankford are options Saturday between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens Arena in Trenton is also open Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
In Frankford, the Dr. McMullen Recreation Centre and Arena is open Saturday and Sunday between the same hours.
