Residents of the Municipality of Brighton are being reminded that the first installment of the 2026 interim tax bill is due Friday, February 27.
The municipality offers several ways for residents to pay their tax bills. Payments can be made through online or telephone banking at a financial institution, by enrolling in a pre-authorized payment plan, or by using Visa through the municipal website. Residents can also pay in person using cash, cheque, or debit at the Municipal Administration Office at 35 Alice Street. Cash should not be placed in the drop box.
Municipal staff are encouraging residents to plan ahead, particularly with the Family Day holiday approaching. The Municipal Administration Office will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Family Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, February 17 during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Residents who typically pay in person are advised to allow extra time to ensure payments are received by the February 27 deadline. Late payments may be subject to penalty charges as outlined by municipal policy.
For more information about payment options or tax billing, residents are encouraged to contact the municipality directly or visit the municipal website for details.
