A suspected pedestrian fatality involving a train kept emergency crews busy in Cobourg until late last night, say police.
The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) has issued little information on the incident but did initially confirm yesterday (Feb. 8, 2026) evening that police were on scene in the D’Arcy Street area, just south of Kerr Street, for a suspected pedestrian fatality involving a train.
CPS had D’Arcy Street closed for several hours while police and the coroner conducted their investigation and were initially asking people to avoid the area.
The road reopened with crews clearing the scene at about 9:30 p.m. No other details have been released by police.
