FRIDAY, FEB. 13:
DROP IN AND CHEER AT BPL: Running 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brighton Public Library, swing by and catch up on the Olympics on the big screen in the program room. And yes, cheering is allowed!
DIVING DEEP: A TALE OF WHALES THROUGH TIME: This exhibit is in its final days at the Quinte Museum of Natural History, and you have until Family Day to take the journey through whale history. The museum is located at 99 Dufferin Ave., Trenton, and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ADULT SHINNY HOCKEY: Running noon to 1:30 at Brighton’s King Edward Park Arena.
VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER AND DANCE BRIGHTON: The Brighton Legion Ways and Means team hosts its Valentine’s Day dinner and dance Friday, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. The Marauders are entertaining for the night.
HEART DISCO SKATE: Brighton’s parks and rec team invites residents to hit the ice at Brighton’s King Edward Park Arena to celebrate love and friendship this Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome on the dance floor on ice. Admission is $3. Don’t forget to bust out your brightest pinks and reds for under the disco lights.
SATURDAY, FEB. 14:
CHEER ON HALLIE CLARKE AT OLYMPIC WATCH PARTY: All are welcome to cheer on world champ Hallie Clarke at the Owen Gibb Community Hall inside King Edward this Saturday, Feb. 14 starting at noon. There will be a viewing of heat 3 starting at noon and heat 4 starting at 1:30 p.m. on the big screen. Organizers say attendees should expect lots of community and Canadian pride and some Canadian-themed snacks and refreshments. The event is free to attend but people are being asked to RSVP online. Come dressed in your best red, white or Canadian-themed attire and bring some noise makers to help cheer on Clarke during her runs.
VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER AND DANCE TRENTON LEGION: Being hosted at the Trenton Legion Branch 110 Auditorium. Dinner is at 5 p.m. and the dance at 7 p.m. Ian Roy is performing!
OLYMPIC PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Being hosted at the Quinte Curling Club from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. You can enjoy delicious eats while watching Team Canada’s men’s curling team take on Switzerland live at the Winter Games.

FRIDAY, FEB. 13:
At the Olympics, skeleton racer and Brighton’s Hallie Clarke has heats 1 and 2 this morning at 10 a.m. and 11:48 a.m. She’s starting 12th after official training and will be the first up for Team Canada.
The Trenton Golden Hawks are on home ice against the Caledon Admirals. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
SATURDAY, FEB. 14:
The Belleville Senators take on the Hershey Bears at 7 p.m. at the CAA Arena.
The Trent Hills Thunder and Frankford Huskies face off at the Frankford Arena at 7 p.m.
The Picton Pirates and Port Hope Panthers have a game at the Jack Burger Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
