The Brighton and District Curling Club shined in Forest, Ont. recently at the Provincial Stick Curling Playdowns.
Held last weekend, the club says one team entered the women’s two-person event, with Caroline Watt and Joanne Arbour making it to the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, the mixed two-person team comprising Don and Nancy Sheppard won big and were crowned Ontario champions. They’re now gearing up to compete at nationals in Nova Scotia at the end of March.
The Brighton and District Curling Club is also marking its 60th season in 2026 and continues to grow.
Just around the corner, the club is hosting a “rookie bonspiel” on March 21 in Brighton for adult curlers in their first and second years.
Participants will have two, six-end games, plus lunch and the get to enjoy the fun of the game, say organizers.
