THURSDAY, MARCH 26:
BUSY BEES: Babies and caregivers can buzz on over to the Brighton Public Library for connection and to explore a variety of sensory activities. Runs 10 to 10:30 a.m.
PARENT AND TOT SKATE: Hosted at King Edward from 10 to 11 a.m.
SONG AND STORY HOUR: Join Terry and Penny for sing-alongs and stories during this one-hour program at the Brighton Public Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
ADULT SKATE: Hosted at King Edward from noon to 1 p.m.
TWEEN SCENE: For ages 11 to 14 at the Brighton library. Drop in for snacks, games, crafts and just hang out. The event runs from 3 to 4 p.m.
OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE GRAND MAPLE: Swing by to take in some of the best local entertainment and guest musicians weekly. Hosted from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Hastings.
MUSIC IN THE LIBRARY: STRONG MASHUP: This local trio performs with a variety of stringed instruments and blends music styles from 60s pop, folk-rock, contemporary indie and original songs. No registration is needed. This special Brighton library event runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
THE YACHT ROCK SHOW: Performances include iconic smooth 70s and 80s classic rock and quintessential nostalgic hits that created an era of music that influenced a generation, say organizers. Running at the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall from 8 to 10 p.m.
FRIDAY, MARCH 27:
BOOKS AND BABIES CLUB: Hosted at the Trenton library location, this event is meant to offer a welcoming space for caregivers to connect over great reads while babies play. This program is intended for babies 18 months or less and their caregivers. Runs 10 to 11 a.m.
FREE TAX CLINIC: The Trenton library is also hosting a free tax clinic to support residents with low and modest incomes. Volunteers will help residents prepare and file their tax returns at no cost. Appointments are required. Learn more online. Running 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (and the clinic returns Saturday.)
ADULT SHINNY HOCKEY: Hosted 12 to 1:30 at Brighton’s King Edward Park Arena.
FOOT BY FOOT SHOW: Swing by noon to 4 p.m. to check out the Colborne Art Gallery’s spring opening show.
THE MEMORY OF WATER: This production is recommended for ages 14-plus and is running at the Firehall Theatre from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, MARCH 27:
The Trenton Golden Hawks host the Newmarket Hurricanes Friday for Game 4. It’s a do-or-die contest for Trenton, with the team down 3-0 in the playoff series. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
In the GMHL, the Northumberland Stars have Game 4 against the River Dragons in Wasaga. Game time is 7 p.m. The Stars have a 2-1 lead in the quest for the Russell Cup.
In the AHL, the Belleville Senators take on the Manitoba Moose at home Friday night at 7 o’clock.
