Later the same day at 3:40 p.m., police said they responded to a single-vehicle crash in the County Road 45 area in Alnwick/Haldimand.
Paramedics were also dispatched as a precaution after the vehicle reportedly entered a ditch.
After speaking with the uninjured driver, again, an impaired driving investigation was initiated, leading to an arrest.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 31-year-old Mississauga resident was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus.)
None of the charges in the above unrelated calls have been proven in court.
Both of the accused also had their licences suspended for 90 days, and the vehicles were impounded for a week.
Northumberland OPP is thanking citizens who report incidents and call in tips to police.
