QUINTE WEST SPRING SCAVENGER HUNT: Hosted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can indulge in solo adventures or gather friends of family to discover the community until May 19. Participants can visit five sites – including the Munitions Plant, Old Bank Cafe, Wooler Schoolhouse, Old Sidney Town Hall Park and the Trent Port Historical Society and scan on-site signage to learn more about their history.
AUCTION FOR PAWS: You have until noon today to place your bids for this Northumberland Humane Society fundraiser.
VOICES BETWEEN THE SHELVES: A CELEBRATION OF POETRY: Calling all poetry lovers to celebrate the beauty of language and join in for an inspiring evening centred on words, rhyme and creativity. Being hosted for ages 16-plus at the Trenton library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Participants can share original works or their fave poems and more during the open mic-style event.
TUESDAY, APRIL 14:
TUESDAY BREAKFAST: Swing by for breakfast at the Codrington Community Centre starting at 9 a.m.
PODCAST STUDIO TRAINING: Being hosted at the Trenton library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This training session helps people get comfortable with equipment and setup in the “Idea Box Podcasting Studio.”
HOMESCHOOL ART SHOW: Hosted at the Brighton Public Library from 2 to 3 p.m. Artists of all ages will show off their creations.
LOCAL SPORTS: Support our teams!
Brighton and District Minor Hockey is hosting its awards banquet at the King Edward Park Community Centre starting at 6 p.m.
The Belleville Senators aren’t back in action until Wednesday on home ice against the Utica Comets. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
