A 30-year-old Belleville man has been charged after an internet child exploitation investigation, say police.
While few details have been released, the Belleville Police Service issued a brief release on Wednesday, April 15, saying last Friday, April 10, after an investigation spearheaded by the service’s internet child exploitation unit, the 30-year-old was arrested and charged.
The accused is facing charges around luring a person under 18 years of age, making child sexual abuse and exploitational material, and exposure to a person under 16 years of age, reported police.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
On Wednesday, police stated the accused was held for a bail hearing.
No other details were released by police.
