OPP say a Pembroke man is facing charges following a harassment investigation in Northumberland County.
Police say they received a complaint on February 17 involving repeated unwanted phone calls of an explicit nature. According to OPP, the victim reported receiving a significant number of calls over the course of about a week.
The investigation was conducted with assistance from the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit. OPP say after a six-week investigation, officers took one individual into custody on April 2.
A 32-year-old Pembroke man has been charged with indecent communications and harassing communications.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in May.
OPP say they remain committed to maintaining safe communities and encourage anyone with information about unlawful activity to contact police.
