TUESDAY, MAY 5:
QUINTE WEST SPRING SCAVENGER HUNT: Hosted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can indulge in solo adventures or gather friends of family to discover the community until May 19. Participants can visit five sites, including the Munitions Plant, Old Bank Cafe, Wooler Schoolhouse, Old Sidney Town Hall Park and the Trent Port Historical Society and scan on-site signage to learn more about their history.
BELLEVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 15 Market Sq., Belleville.
GUIDED WALKS: Meet at the east end of the suspension bridge at Ferris Provincial Park at 9 a.m.
BRIGHTON PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB: Meets at King Edward this morning starting at 9 a.m. until noon.
TECH TUESDAYS: Need help with your device or navigating the digital library? The Brighton Public Library has you covered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
TRAIL RUNNING: Quinte West Public Library is partnering with Dirty Soles Trail Running for a fun, supportive six-week trail running program at the Batawa Trails. The program will run from today to June 9 on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. The program will help participants build confidence, improve endurance, and just enjoy the outdoors. All fitness levels are welcome. Organizers say the program has also been designed to support participants preparing for the Boomerang Race on June 13.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 6:
MCHAPPY DAY: Swing by your local McDonald’s to show your support for Ronald McDonald House and local charities. In Northumberland, proceeds are also helping out the YMCA and in Quinte West, the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre.

KNITCETERA: Hosted at the Brighton Public Library from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Drop in to share your latest project with other yarn enthusiasts. You can also swing by to learn more from others. No registration is needed.
LIONS BINGO: The Brighton club’s popular bingo is back at King Edward from 4 to 10 p.m.
SUPPER’S READY: Hosted at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church every Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m., offering people a chance to connect over a free meal. Small donations for those who are able are appreciated to help cover some food costs.
TELESCOPE INFORMATION SESSION: The Quinte West Public Library and Royal Astronomical Society of Canada are teaming up so you can borrow a telescope just like a book. Hosted from 6 to 7 p.m.

Opening night for the Brighton Speedway is now set for this coming Saturday, May 9. This marks the 59th season of racing in Brighton.
