WEDNESDAY, MAY 13:
QUINTE WEST SPRING SCAVENGER HUNT: Hosted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You have until May 19 to visit all the sites, including the Munitions Plant, Old Bank Cafe, Wooler Schoolhouse, Old Sidney Town Hall Park and the Trent Port Historical Society and scan on-site signage to learn more about their history.
BRIGHTON PROBUS CLUB: Meets at King Edward from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
HIKING ADVENTURES: Gather at the Batawa Trails at 99 Ski Club Lane from 10 to 11 a.m. to take in some mother nature.
KNITCETERA: Hosted at the Brighton Public Library from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
BRIGHTON LIONS’ BINGO: Happening at King Edward from 4 to 10 p.m.
SUPPER’S READY: Hosted at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church in Brighton, this program offers people a chance to connect over a free meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Small donations for those who are able help to cover some food costs.
THURSDAY, MAY 14:
BELLEVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 15 Market Sq., Belleville.
BUSY BEES: Buzz on over to the Brighton Public Library to explore sensory activities and make new friends in this relaxed program running 10 to 10:30 a.m. Busy Bees is designed for babies and their caregivers.
SONG AND STORY HOUR: Hosted at BPL from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., join Terry and Penny for sing-alongs and stories. This library program is tailed to preschool kids, but all are welcome.
TWEEN SCENE: Running 3 to 4 p.m. at the Brighton library, youth can swing by for snacks, games and crafts or just to hang out in the program room. Geared towards ages 11 to 14.
MUSIC IN THE LIBRARY T&R: This is a special farewell concert by Brighton’s own T&R. Running 6:30 to 8 p.m. No registration is needed.
OPEN MIC NIGHT: Hosted at the Grand Maple from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TRAINING: Being hosted at Northumberland County council chambers from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There are both in-person and virtual options for those interested in running across all seven member municipalities in the upcoming Oct. 26 municipal election. This is free training being delivered by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
THURSDAY TRIVIA: MOVIE NIGHT: Whether you’re a film buff or a casual fan, come test your knowledge of blockbuster hits, cult classics and everything in-between. Come solo or join a team or bring some friends! The fun starts at 6 p.m. at the Trenton library branch.
