The recent wet weather has had an impact on Brighton’s sports fields and ball diamonds.
Municipal staff say the fields are saturated after the region’s recent rainfall, and its parks and rec team is asking the public and user groups to stay off the fields and infields for now to prevent damages and ensure they’re ready for the upcoming season.
“Our parks maintenance crew is working diligently to prepare the fields and diamonds for regular programming scheduled to begin after the long-weekend, weather and ground conditions permitting,” said officials.
The municipality is thanking residents for their patience and co-operation.
