After following up on a report that a student allegedly approached another youth and demanded their pizza while brandishing a knife, Belleville police say they’ve laid charges.
According to the Belleville Police Service, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at about 12:45 p.m., police responded to a report of a weapons incident in the city’s east end.
“It was reported that a student from an east-end secondary school approached another student and demanded their pizza while brandishing a knife,” said police.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 17-year-old Belleville female – whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act – was charged with robbery with violence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
