FRIDAY, MAY 22:
TODDLER DANCE PARTY: Swing by the Trenton library for a lively toddler dance party where class kids’ songs are reimagined as fun techno beats and more, making for an exciting atmosphere for litter movers, say organizers. The fun also includes glow-in-the-dark decorations and accessories. Geared for kids up to age 4 and being hosted in the multi-purpose room from 10 to 11 a.m.
QUINTE WEST POP-UPS: Pop-up season continues at Centennial Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Swing by to meet and shop the vendors or for some eats and games.
PUZZLE SWAP: bring you gently used puzzles and swap them for something new at the Trenton library from 2 to 3:30 p.m. You can also meet fellow puzzle enthusiasts, exchange puzzles of all sizes and find your next challenge. No registration is needed and it’s free to attend from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
ENSS PROM PARADE: Grads will depart at about 4 p.m. from the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church and travel down Main and Dundas before ending at Terry Fox Drive. The parade is expected to last an hour to an hour-and-a-half. For the best viewing, stick to the south side of Main and Dundas streets.
OPEN MIC AT THE GRAND MAPLE: Hosted from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Grand Maple Event Centre in Hastings.
SATURDAY, MAY 23:
BRIGHTON AND DISTRICT CURLING CLUB GARAGE SALE: Being hosted at the club Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to noon. This sale is a fundraiser to help with costs so people can learn the sport of curling.
BELLEVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 15 Market Sq.
FRONT STREET FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 67 Front St. downtown Trenton.
CAMPBELLFORD FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of River and Front Street South in Campbellford.
JUNK IN THE TRUNK SALE: The Brighton Legion is hosting its third annual Junk in the Trunk Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the east parking lot area.
TRENTON LAWN BOWLING OPEN HOUSE: Swing by the club on Bay Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This open house event is open to all to try lawn bowling and meet the members. Light refreshments provided. No experience is needed.
KIDS CRAFT KITS: Swing by the main desk at Brighton Public Library to get new craft kits for the kids as supplies last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

EARLYON AT THE LIBRARY: Join the EarlyON team at the Brighton library in the program room for a morning of open-ended play. No registration is needed. Runs 10:30 a.m. to noon.

LOCAL SPORTS: Support our teams!
While the Brighton Bandits are gearing up to kick-start their official season next week after practices this week, practices are starting for all T-ball and six-and-under kids next Thursday, May 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Brighton Public School fields.
And the Belleville Senators have announced the return of the Adopt-a-School program for the 2026-27 season, which offers businesses a chance to can purchase tickets to donate to a local school of their choice to expose more kids to the sport and in turn, businesses get help with marketing opportunities throughout the season.
