FRIDAY, MAY 29:
OLDIES CUTEST PET CONTEST: You have until 11:59 p.m. to get in your favourite shots of your furry friends for this contest. The winner will be announced on June 3.
P.A. DAY FUN: Swing by the Trenton library from 10 a.m. to noon for crafts, scavenger hunts and more for the kids.
QUINTE WEST POP-UPS: Swing by Centennial Park to have some fun during pop-up season running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
SPRING BOOK SALE: Swing by the Brighton Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a pay-what-you can sale and support your local library while getting some great deals on books, DVDs, and more.
SUZIE VINNICK LIVE IN BRIGHTON: This three-time Juno nominee,12-time Maple Blues award-winner and two-time Canadian Folk Music Award winning artist performs at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church starting at 7 p.m.
DANCING WITH THE STARS QUINTE: This popular fundraiser makes its return in support of the Volunteer and Information Centre at Empire Theatre in Belleville from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
SATURDAY, MAY 30:
BELLEVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET: Runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FRONT STREET FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted downtown Trenton from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
CAMPBELLFORD FARMERS’ MARKET: Running weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
COLBORNE APPLE BLOSSOM TYME FESTIVAL: Hosted at Victoria Square downtown Colborne from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The day will feature lots of family fun, including bouncy castles, face painting, balloon animals, family games and a couple of magic shows. There’s also a full schedule of live local music, a beer tent, food trucks, cotton candy, and a car show.
NORTHUMBERLAND HOME, GARDEN AND LEISURE SHOW: Returning to the Cobourg Community Centre for two days – Saturday and Sunday – this event is open to all and offers people a chance to explore more than 70 local businesses and get to know local experts. Runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.
WARKWORTH LILAC FESTIVAL: The 14th edition of this two-day festival returns to light up Millenium Lilac Trail Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fun will also include live music, kids’ activities, local artisans and vendors, picnic food, and the floral design competition known as the “Touch of Lilac.”
KIDS’ CRAFT KITS: Swing by the Brighton Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick up new kits for the kids at the main desk as supplies last.
QUINTE WEST POP-UPS: Pop-up season continues at Centennial Park in Trenton from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
And don’t forget the Codrington Farmers’ Market is back Sundays running 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In local baseball, the Brighton Bandits aren’t back on the diamonds again until next Monday, when there will be seven games.
