A 43-year-old Belleville man accused of assaulting a woman and exposing himself during a police investigation is facing charges.
According to the Belleville Police Service, on Monday, June 1, at about 8:06 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance report in the city’s west end.
It was reported that a man was causing a disturbance involving individuals in the area and allegedly kicking in a woman’s door, said police.
Further reports indicated that while attempting to gain entry, the man allegedly spat at the female and made threats toward her, said police.
During the investigation, officers also said they witnessed the man expose himself while speaking with police.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 43-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – spousal, assault – spousal, and nudity and indecent exposure.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
