FRIDAY, JUNE 5:
DROP-IN PICKLEBALL: Hosted at Duncan Memorial Arena in Trenton from 9 a.m. to noon.
QUINTE WEST POP-UPS: Pop-up season continues at Centennial Park in Trenton from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
FILM SCREENING: WE THE CHILDREN: This special screening from the National Film Board, in honour of Indigenous History Month, is being hosted at the Brighton Public Library from 2 to 4 p.m. No registration is required.
STOP MOTION ANIMATION: In this six-week series, kids dive into the world of stop motion animation and use everyday objects like clay, LEGO and mini figures. For ages eight-plus. At the end of the program, small groups present their films. Runs 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the makerspace at the Trenton library branch. Registration is required.
FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL DANCE: The Brighton Legion hosts its social dance from 7 to 11 p.m. featuring DJ Greg spinning the tunes. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
SATURDAY, JUNE 6:
BELLEVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted at 15 Market Square from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FRONT STREET FARMERS’ MARKET: Hosted downtown Trenton Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
CAMPBELLFORD FARMERS’ MARKET: Runs Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of River and Front Street South in Campbellford.
TRENT VALLEY QUILTERS GUILD BEHIND THE SEAMS QUILT SHOW: The 2026 show returns Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 to light up the King Edward Park Community Centre in Brighton, running 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The show also features the tearoom, vendors, raffle baskets, an artisan’s market, comfort quilts and “Quilts of Valour.”
KIDS’ CRAFT KITS: Swing by the Brighton Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to get your new craft kits at the main desk as supplies last.
QUINTE WEST POP-UPS: Pop-up season continues at Centennial Park in Trenton from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
INDIGENOUS ARTISAN FAIR: Celebrate National Indigenous History Month at the Quinte West Pop-ups running 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
SPANISH CIRCLE: Hosted at the Brighton Public Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., you can join Sofia to practise your Spanish and make new friends. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
BAY OF QUINTE RELAF FOR LIFE: This fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society returns Saturday at Trenton High School from 2 to 10 p.m.
DRAG QUEEN STORY TIME: Hosted by the Brighton Public Library from 11 a.m. to noon.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION: Learn about the practical first steps to making your own movie in this one-hour presentation at the Brighton Public Library from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Organizers say this is a great starting point if you’re looking to submit a film to the “Small Town Shorts Film Festival.”
HOPE AGRICULTURAL HERITAGE CLUB SUMMER OPEN HOUSE: This summer open house runs two days (June 6 and 7) at the Antique Machinery Centre in Canton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
PRIDE IN THE PARK: WARKWORTH MAGIC: Hosted at Mill Creek Park starting at 6 p.m.
