The Township of Cramahe has announced the appointment of Troy Stephens as its new Manager of Environmental Services.
Stephens will officially begin the role on June 22 and will report directly to the township’s Chief Administrative Officer.
In the position, he will oversee Cramahe’s water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure systems while providing technical and engineering support for municipal projects. Responsibilities also include project management, contract administration and helping guide the planning, design and construction of infrastructure projects throughout the municipality.
Township officials say the role is critical to ensuring residents and businesses continue to receive safe, reliable and sustainable environmental services as Cramahe continues to grow.
Stephens brings more than 20 years of combined experience in the wastewater industry and municipal water operations. His background includes a variety of roles with the Municipality of Trent Hills as well as experience working with the Ontario Clean Water Agency.
A lifelong resident of Campbellford, Stephens studied at Brock University and the University of Prince Edward Island.
Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, woodworking and following hockey and baseball.
Cramahe Township, which includes the communities of Colborne and Castleton, has a population of more than 6,000 residents and continues to invest in infrastructure projects to support growth while protecting local environmental resources.
Township officials say they look forward to Stephens’ leadership as Cramahe continues to modernize and maintain essential water and wastewater services.
The municipality says his experience and knowledge will help support long-term infrastructure planning and environmental sustainability goals.
