Discover Belleville Visitor Services is relocating to a new home at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
Beginning Saturday, June 27, residents and visitors will be able to access tourism information, visitor guides, trail maps and details about local attractions and events from the Community Services Department at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, located at 265 Cannifton Road.
The City of Belleville says the move places Visitor Services in a more central and accessible location, allowing people to connect with tourism resources alongside other community services and amenities.
Visitor Services will be available in person Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Telephone service will also continue through the existing Visitor Services numbers.
The city says visitors will still be able to pick up the Discover Belleville Visitor Guide, recreational and trail maps, along with printed materials highlighting local attractions, amenities and tourism experiences.
City officials say the relocation reflects an effort to make information about Belleville’s parks, events, trails and recreational opportunities easier to access for both residents and visitors.
The City of Belleville also thanked the Belleville Chamber of Commerce for its longstanding partnership in operating Visitor Services from the Belleville Log Cabin over many years.
The city’s Economic Development office will continue leading tourism promotion through the Discover Belleville brand.
More information about local attractions, events and activities is available through DiscoverBelleville.ca.
