The Municipality of Brighton is recruiting for two positions aimed at supporting municipal operations and enhancing visitor experiences.
The municipality is seeking a permanent, full-time Deputy Clerk to join its Clerks Office.
Reporting to the Clerk, the successful candidate will help support council and committee meetings, records and information management, by-law coordination, accessibility compliance, lottery licensing, vital statistics and municipal elections. The Deputy Clerk will also act as the Clerk’s designate when required and assist in ensuring legislative compliance and high-quality public service.
Municipal officials say the position plays an important role in supporting transparent and effective local government under Ontario’s Municipal Act.
Brighton is also seeking a Visitor Services Assistant, a part-time position working 25 hours a week.
Based at the municipality’s newly renovated visitor information booth outside the entrance to Presqu’ile Provincial Park, the successful applicant will welcome visitors, answer questions and promote local attractions, events, businesses and recreational opportunities in Brighton and neighbouring communities.
The role includes helping residents and tourists access information about community events, attractions and municipal services while providing a welcoming first impression of Brighton.
The Municipality says both positions offer opportunities to contribute to the community while supporting local government services and tourism.
Information on qualifications, application deadlines and how to apply for both positions is available on the Municipality of Brighton website.
