After serving as Major of Quinte West for twelve years, Jim Harrison tells BrightonToday.ca he will not seek reelection in October.
Harrsion says there are several accomplishments that stand out for him from during his time as Mayor of Quinte West.
August 21st is the deadline for candidates to file nomination papers to run in the fall municipal election.
Harrison says he’s confident Quinte West will be well served in the Mayor’s office after a new leader of municipal council is elected in the fall.
An active farmer during his time as Mayor of Quinte West, Harrison says he’s pulling back from the business. Harrison says he’ll be a helper when he can while his grandsons manage the family’s beef herd.
