One of Northumberland County’s longest-running summer traditions is celebrating a major milestone this weekend while continuing to support compassionate end-of-life care in the community.
The 30th annual Lakeside Antique & Classic Car Show returns to Victoria Park in Cobourg on Saturday, July 11, bringing together antique and classic vehicle enthusiasts from across Ontario.
Hosted by the Great Pine Ridge Region of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada, the show features original vehicles at least 20 years old, along with vendor displays, vehicle judging, awards, auction items and a 50/50 draw. Spectator admission is free.
Fundraising from the event supports the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation, helping provide hospice and palliative care services throughout Northumberland County.
Joel Scott, Director of Donor Relations for Community Care Northumberland and the Ed’s House Foundation, says the their partnership has done more than raise money.
He says the annual event has helped increase awareness of hospice care and the services available through both Ed’s House and Community Care Northumberland’s community-based palliative care team.
Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, the show has become a fixture on the local summer calendar, attracting families, collectors and automotive enthusiasts while supporting a vital community cause.
The Lakeside Antique & Classic Car Show runs from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at Victoria Park in Cobourg.
Vehicle registrations, auction proceeds and the 50/50 draw will all benefit the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation.
