The Brighton OPP detachment will be closed to the public on Wednesday, July 29, for scheduled building maintenance.
The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police says the temporary closure will affect public access to the Brighton office, but police services in the community will continue uninterrupted.
Frontline officers will remain available to respond to calls for service throughout the closure.
Residents who require in person assistance during normal business hours can visit either the Cobourg OPP detachment at 1165 Division Street or the Campbellford detachment at 20 Industrial Drive.
The direct outdoor OPP telephone located at the Brighton detachment will remain operational and available for public use during the closure. A notice will be posted at the public entrance with information about the temporary closure.
Residents requiring immediate police assistance should call 9 1 1. For non emergency police matters, the OPP can be reached at 1 888 310 1122.
The Brighton detachment is expected to reopen for its regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.
The Northumberland OPP is thanking residents for their patience and understanding while the scheduled maintenance is completed.
