The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is reminding residents that there is still time to purchase tickets for its annual helicopter golf ball drop fundraiser.
The event is scheduled to take place Aug. 14 during the TMHF Golf Classic at Oak Hills Golf Club and is being presented with support from County Cemetery Company and 1000 Islands Helicopter Tours.
Organizers say as many as 2,500 numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter, with the ball landing closest to the target winning the $7,500 grand prize. Participants do not have to be present to claim the prize.
The foundation recently announced the winner of its early bird draw for a Ninja FlexFlame barbecue donated by Canadian Tire Trenton, but officials say the grand prize remains available.
Funds raised through the event will support the foundation’s EMERGE Stronger campaign, which helps purchase medical equipment for Trenton Memorial Hospital.
Foundation officials say a limited number of spaces remain available for golfers interested in participating in the annual tournament.
