Two new candidates have filed nomination papers for the 2026 Quinte West municipal election.
Spencer Hutchison and Leslie Roseblade both filed on August 10th to run for Councillor in Ward One, Trenton.
The City of Quinte West says candidates must file their nomination papers with the City Clerk before nominations close on Friday, August 21st at 2 p.m.
A full list of certified candidates will be made available Monday, August 24th, following the close of nominations.
The 2026 municipal election will take place October 26th. Advance voting opportunities are scheduled for October 14th, 17th and 20th.
The City says additional updates will be shared as more candidates submit their nomination papers.
