The City of Quinte West is asking residents, business owners and property owners to weigh in on how the community should grow and develop in the future.
The City has launched a short online survey as part of its comprehensive zoning by-law review.
The zoning by-law translates policies in the City’s Official Plan into rules governing how land can be used and developed. Those rules cover areas such as permitted land uses, building setbacks, lot sizes, building heights and parking requirements.
City officials say feedback collected through the survey will help identify community priorities and opportunities as Quinte West continues to grow.
The results will also help inform components of an updated comprehensive zoning by-law, which will eventually be considered by the City’s new term of council.
“As Quinte West continues to grow, updating the comprehensive zoning by-law is essential to ensuring our community develops in a way that reflects its needs and opportunities,” said Brian Jardine, the City’s Director of Planning and Development Services.
The City is encouraging members of the community to participate and provide feedback on future land-use priorities.
