Brighton residents will have an opportunity to learn more about a proposed subdivision and provide feedback during a community open house next month.
The Municipality of Brighton says it has received a development inquiry from 2020910 Ontario Inc., also known as Leblanc Homes, regarding a proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision called Butler Creek North.
The proposed development would be accessed from Cedar Street and involves currently vacant lands covering approximately 4.46 hectares, or 11 acres.
The municipality is holding a pre-application consultation open house on Thursday, September 10, to discuss various land-use options for the property and receive community feedback on the concept plans.
The consultation is taking place before any development applications have been submitted.
The municipality says public consultation is an important part of the Planning Act process and that this open house represents the first stage in a comprehensive review of the proposed development.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Owen Gibb Community Hall in King Edward Park, 75 Elizabeth Street.
Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide input as the planning process gets underway.
