Matthew Gallant opened Okay Karaoke in Downtown Trenton this August and has been hosting great nights of music ever since.
Gallant says he had a few reasons for starting the Karaoke business, but one came from seeing the amount of tourists in Picton County.
Gallant says another idea was hearing about the 3rd space concept.
Gallant says people from the Trenton area as well as Brighton and Cobourg show great support for the business and the bar is at full capacity at least one night every weekend.
Okay Karaoke serves drinks and snacks, and paired with lots of local businesses to bring in food and drink including a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
It’s free to go to karaoke and sing, but customers are encouraged to eat at the bar as well.
The food comes from local businesses including Trenton Deli, The Jolly Baking Company, and Centre Cinemas where he buys fresh popcorn to sell at the bar.
And we can’t forget to mention the five theme nights which run on Thursdays.
Okay Karaoke is located at 105 Dundas St. West in Trenton.
They are open Thursday to Sunday from 6 p.m. until late.
