Officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently responding to numerous calls for a black bear sighting in the area of Sidney Street and North Murray Street.
The OPP are asking residents in that area to stay vigilant and contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1212 if the bear is spotted.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has been contacted and will be attending the area the bear was last spotted.
