Human remains have been found at the site of a Friday (Jan 29) morning structure fire.
Northumberland OPP say the blaze was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Old Wooler Road.
Once it was completely extinguished, the human remains were found, and the victim has not been identified at this time.
The Northumberland OPP Major Crime Unit, Central Region Forensic Identification Services, Office of the Fire Marshal and Office of the Chief Coroner are investigating this incident.
Northumberland OPP remain on scene, and say they will provide more information once it becomes available.
