
The County of Northumberland is currently working with local child care providers to offer eligible health care and other frontline workers with no-charge emergency child care services for school-aged children starting January 10th.
We reached out to Lesley Patterson, Northumberland County’s Manager of Early Year Services to find out who is eligible.
This week the Province announced that it would have to move to a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen. This included the introduction public health measures to help decrease the spread of the Omicron variant. All publicly funded and private schools included have moved to remote learning until at least January 17.
The province has instituted a list of essential health care and frontline workers who will be eligible for the no-cost emergency child care for school-aged children during this period, as of January10.
