A man has been identified as the person killed in a road crash in Port Hope.
The driver killed in last night’s vehicle crash in near Robertson and Mill Streets has been identified as a 19-year-old Cobourg man.
The Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigations team is helping with the case.
Port Hope Police says say the collision occurred after a CN Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Peter Street and the driver of the vehicle sped away. Investigators are piecing together what happened after that, leading up to the crash.
