The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF) and a local Brighton grocery store have teamed up for a fundraising campaign beginning this Friday.
Chris and Angela’s No Frills in Brighton are partnering with the TMHF for a fundraising ‘Round Up’ campaign from April 15th to May 12th. Shoppers at the Elizabeth Street grocery store can round up the total on their bills to an amount of their choosing to donate to Trenton Memorial Hospital.
“Shoppers’ support of the campaign will help purchase new medical equipment for our local hospital, that, in turn, will help reduce wait times, enable less-invasive treatments, allow for faster recoveries, help to recruit and retain medical professionals, and could even save a life.” said Lindsay Butcher Dodds, the hospital foundation’s operations and community impact specialist, in a press release.
Butcher Dodds added she would be ‘thrilled’ if $10,000 could be generated through this campaign.
In addition to raising money, the TMHF is hoping to increase community awareness of the fact that the Ontario government doesn’t fund medical equipment purchases.
Chris and Angela’s No Frills is at 155 Elizabeth St.
