Although she hasn’t filed her papers as yet, Cramahe Township Mayor Mandy Martin said she plans to run for a second term on township council.
Martin ran against longtime incumbent Marc Coombs for mayor in the 2018 municipal election in the township, defeating Coombs by a slim margin with 1,289 vote to Coombs’ 1,060. Coombs had served three previous terms as mayor of the township after having served for more than 10 years as a councillor on township council.
The nomination period started on May 2 and will end on August 19. Cramahe will elect a mayor, deputy mayor and three councillors.
The Township will also elect Catholic and public board school trustees, along with French public and French separate school board trustees.
Election Day is Monday, Oct. 24.
