A Trenton man is facing charges of uttering threats and assaulting an officer following an incident over the weekend.
Quinte West OPP say they began investigating an allegation of threats that occurred on Adrian Court in Trenton.
Following the investigation, police say they went to make an arrest.
On August 27 police say they saw the male walking on Sidney Street in Trenton and attempted to arrest him, but he fled to a nearby apartment complex unit and refused to give himself up.
After getting a warrant, police entered the apartment and a conducted energy weapon (CEW) was used, and the accused was arrested.
As a result of the altercation, an officer sustained minor injuries.
34 year old John McDade of Trenton is facing a slew of charges including assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats, and four counts of mischief.
