The Port Hope Panthers are looking forward to the start of their season in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
As they leave the pre-season with a 3-1 record, Head Coach and General Manager David Miller told us they’re looking forward to a good season.
Miller said they have just under a week until they hit the ice for the regular season, but there’s a bit of a wait until they play at home.
The team looks a bit different than it did last year, signing several local players like Cobourg natives Spencer Eriksson and Kyle Ramsperger, among others.
Miller said he thinks the team is looking good coming into the season.
The Panthers play their first game on the road against the Frankford Huskies on Monday, September 26, and another road game with the Napanee Raiders on September 30.
The home opener will be Saturday, October 1 at the Jack Burger Sports Complex at 7:30pm, when the face off against the Amherstview Jets.
