Earlier this month, Community Care Northumberland announced that Joel Scott would be their new Director of Donor Relations and Communications.
He’s taking over the role from Lynda Kay, a prominent long time volunteer and fundraiser in Northumberland for several decades. She announced she would be retiring back in July, and is winding down her last few weeks in the position.
We spoke to Scott about what the new role means to him.
He said he’ll have big shoes to fill.
Scott grew up in Cobourg as a child and moved back here in 2002 with his family.
He’s most well known for his invovlement with STAR 93.3, the preceding station to 93.3 myFM.
Scott said he’s looking forward to working with such a charitable community.
He added that CCN does so much to help people in Northumberland that need a hand to get back on their feet.
