Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP David Piccini stopped by the the Castleton Sports Club this weekend.
Saturday marked the Grand Re-Opening of Fat Pappy’s Canteen, following a hugely successful round of fundraising.
Jeff Turney, one of the key members of the fundraising team, said Piccini was a big help in securing grant money to restore the old canteen.
During his speech, Piccini highlighted the hard work of the volunteers, stating they embodied the best of rural Ontario.
Cramahe Mayor Mandy Martin shared how proud she was of the community for coming together during the fundraising.
Martin expressed pride in the restoration, saying the hard work of the volunteers was a perfect example of Cramahe as a township.
