The winner of the Paint it Forward contest has been announced.
Northumberland Youth Unlimited will be the recipients of some new paint in their office space.
Put on by Classic Rock 107.9 and 93.3 myFM and its partners Kingsmill Kitchens and Bath and Gencon Contracting and Renovations, one local non-profit organization was selected for a fresh coat of paint in their space.
Tony Posthumus, Executive Director of Northumberland Youth Unlimited, explained a bit about the group’s involvement with the community.
He said they also have a program with the Cobourg Cougars call Cheer Crew, where a group cheer on the Cougars every home game.
Posthumus said their office space is in need of a facelift.
He added that a new paint job will not only make the space better for kids, but anyone who uses the space.
Northumberland Youth Unlimited is an organization that runs programs for youth across Northumberland to create a safe and caring environment, where youth are heard, challenged and encouraged.
