Trent Hills council is in the early stages of preparing a budget for 2023.
Mayor Bob Crate says the municipality’s head of finance has briefed council on what to expect including an increase in taxes.
Crate says Trent Hills is an area where taxes are relatively high – in large part because of the small population base vs the infrastructure and municipal property that’s under management.
Crate says the municipality is pushing hard to get the province to provide the hospital a planning grant to go forward with the next phase of building a new facility.
