If you still haven’t gotten started on your New Years resolution to work out more, the good news is YMCA Northumberland can help you out.
We spoke with Manager of Communications and Marketing for YMCA Northumberland Raff Melito about how things fared last year in 2022, and what members can expect for 2023.
Looking back, Melito said last year was a good one for the Y.
One of the big changes for 2023 should be a welcome one for many current and prospective members, as it will change who you can include on your family and partner memberships.
She said the change will allow for things like grandparents who want to take their grandkids to swimming lessons or someone who is trying to convince their friend to join as a workout buddy.
As well, it better accommodates the ever changing definition of what is a family in the present day.
Melito also said that the YMCA has expanded their programming this year.
As for fundraising events for the upcoming year, Melito said you can expect to see all of the regular events return.
Melito said their childcare programs are also more popular than ever, adding that they are currently in the process of creating more spots for children in Northumberland this year.
