The annual Farmers Market housed at the Codrington Community Centre officially opens on Sunday, May 7th and will run every Sunday until October from 10:00 to 1:00 pm.
According to Volunteer Coordinator Liana Palmer, the Market, which has been operating annually since 2015 will have all the regular venders returning.
There will be produce and seasonal vegetables. There will be honey products, maple syrup, baked goods and frozen entrees too. Local meat producers, a brewery and fresh cut flowers will also be available this year.
Snacks and lunch options are also available. Harry Hots will be returning, Jordan’s Wood Fired Pizza and the Brighton Leos, who will also be on site doing hamburgers, fries and ice cream.
New this year is a vender who will be producing authentic Thai cuisine.
“Our artisan market is also expanding this year,” said Liana. “We will also continue to run the weekly music program to entertain visitors too.”
The local branch of the library which is in the Codrington Community Centre will also be open during the Farmers Market too.
Located at 2992 County Road 30 in Codrington, Ontario, the Farmers Market runs every Sunday from May to October. The new electronic sign at the Codrington Community Centre will also feature highlights of new product offerings too.
In its 9th year, the Codrington Farmers Market continues to grow each year, featuring many local producers and homemade items available.
