Community partners, donors, businesses, and government representatives gathered Wednesday, April 26th to celebrate the success of last year’s United Way Northumberland Campaign.
During the agency’s annual celebration breakfast the United Way recognized the community’s collective achievements and confirmed last year’s campaign raised more than $900,000 for our community.
“We could not do what we do without all of you,” said Maggie Darling, Acting Executive Director, United Way Northumberland.
United Way Northumberland also announced their 2023-2024 Community Partners and invited each one to share more about the impact United Way is making. Partners include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northumberland, Community Care Northumberland, Habitat for Humanity Northumberland, The Help Centre of Northumberland, Rebound Child , The Salvation Army, Transition House and WrapAround Northumberland.
Habitat for Humanity Northumberland presented to attendees how a recent United Way grant was received to map the housing continuum locally and identify the need for affordable and attainable housing.
