Southeastern Ontario is getting a new Amazon distribution centre.
Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis tells Oldies 100.9 it’s a huge project that will benefit the entire region.
A payroll headcount hasn’t been confirmed by Amazon but estimates say several hundred direct new jobs could be created.
Ellis says the one million square-foot Amazon distribution centre will be located in Belleville’s east industrial park, near the old Sears warehouse.
