Today is this first day of navigation for this season on the Trent Severn Waterway.
Lock hours are posted on the Parks Canada website.
Early season hours are in effect until June 18th before full summer hours begin and continue until the end of Labour Day before reverting to fall operating hours.
Some early season reminders for boaters using the lock system: all vessels must arrive at the designated blue zone at last lockage time, at swing bridges, the last bridge swing will be 10 minutes after last lockage time.
The Trent-Severn Waterway’s lock stations between Trenton and Port Severn connect people with incredible beauty, natural heritage, and modern Canadian memories at our National Historic Sites.
This year, canoers and kayakers will continue to enjoy 50% off their seasonal lockage and mooring passes for all paddlers, all season-long and returning this year will be the ever-popular “Lock and Paddle,” scheduled for August 26th.
