The burn ban that has been in place for the last week has now been lifted.
Officials from Northumberland County gave an update on social media and say based on the current weather forecast, and with improvements in air quality, fire services lifted the ban as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Note that burn permits are required in certain municipalities, be sure to check before you light that fire.
Environment Canada is calling for rain for much of the day with a good chance of more showers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
