In December of 2021, Northumberland County purchased a bed and breakfast in Campbellford with plans to use it to deliver supportive housing.
With renovations complete, and thanks to a partnership between the County, Northumberland Housing Corporation (NCHC), and Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR), this program will be moving forward and provide a combination of affordable housing and supportive services.
Warden Mandy Martin says CMHA is a knowledgeable partner, with extensive experience who will help residents looking for a home to feel safe, supported, and part of the community.”
CMHA HKPR CEO Mark Graham says their role is to help create the conditions for successful tenancy, where people can grow and thrive and have a sense of belonging in the community.
There are a variety of referral pathways available to access supportive housing units. For inquiries related to referrals and eligibility criteria please email HousingAdmin@cmhahkpr.ca.
