An accessibility mat was first installed in 2016, but it didn’t live up to expectations, being both too short to reach the water and forming bumps when the sand around it is churned up.
The new Mobi Mat is 6 feet wide and over 300 feet long and provides a chance for all residents and visitors to enjoy the waterfront.
It’s the gold standard for Beach and Lake Accessibility and provides those with mobility devices easier access to the water.
